As close to Rotterdam as it gets
The terminal is located on the Nieuwe Waterweg in Schiedam, directly beside the port of Rotterdam. For an inland vessel that saves a stretch of sailing, and sailing costs time and money.
Not sailing on is the gain
Many transhipment companies are located further towards the sea. An inland vessel heading there sails a considerable extra distance, both ways.
Our terminal is in Schiedam, right beside the port of Rotterdam. Closer to that port inland is barely possible. Whoever unloads or loads here keeps sailing time short and costs low. For inland shipping that is the difference between a day there and back, or moving on the same day.

And if the vessel is too large
Larger seagoing vessels are transhipped in the Waalhaven, in the middle of the port of Rotterdam.
This is done together with stevedoring company A. Brussé en Zn., which shares the same owner. Brussé has been working in Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Moerdijk since 1975 and deploys floating cranes for this. That way there remains a single point of contact, whether the cargo comes alongside our quay or is transhipped in the middle of the water.
